Jeff Strasser war der Jubilar des Tages. In seinem 75. Länderspiel erreichten die Luxembourger Löwen ein respektables Unentschieden gegen eine stark veränderte Togolesische Elf.
Doch der Reihe nach. Nachdem ich mich kurzfristg entschloss dem deutschen Gekicke (ja – ich wusste es schon vorher) zu entgehen und ich ganz überraschend doch noch einen Babysitter für unsere Kleine gefunden hatte, fuhr ich um 19:00 gen Westen.
Das Versprechen, welches die FLF (Federation Luxembourgeoise Football) auf ihrer Homepage gegeben hatte „L’entrée sera gratuite sur la « Tribune Populaire M»“ bewahrheitete sich und so kam ich auch ohne großes Warten und vor allem ohne zu löhnen in den M-Block. Zu meinem Erstaunen kam ich sogar noch pünktlich zum Abspielen der Nationalhymnen ins Stadion.
Nach den Hymnen dann die Ehrung für den Altinternationalen Jeff Strasser, der jetzt in Straßbourg spielt und in Deutschland aus Engagements in Lautern und Gladbach bekannt ist.
Togo im Vergleich zur WM nicht wiederzuerkennen. Lediglich der Star Spieler Adebayor Emmanuel von Arsenal London spielte auch in Luxembourg in der Startelf. Doch von Beginn an ein eher unerwartetes Bild. Luxembourg drückt, spielt schön über die Flanken und erarbeitet sich eine Chance nach der anderen. Togo konsterniert. Adebayor parkte in der Spitze, der TW wusste nur doch Unsicherheiten zu überzeugen und die Verteidiger waren regelmäßig überfordert.
Luxembourg weiter drücken, doch nicht zwingend genug. Der notwendige zweite Stürmer kam erst in der letzten viertel Stunde, konnte aber nur noch einen Kopfball gegen die Latte setzen.
Überzeugt hat micht der bei Freiburg spielende Gilles Bettmar, der im Mittelfeld hervorragend die Bälle verteilte.
Enttäuscht hat mich Strasser, der für die einzigen zwei Chancen der Togolesen verantwortlich war.
Des Weiteren hat mich massiv die Elf aus Togo enttäuscht. Kein Vergleich zum Spiel gegen Frankreich bei der WM….

Edwin: Lakers have too big aspirations to accept moral victories. A loss is a loss. Nothing good can be taken from this except Kobe is Kobe. I may be wrong but Dwight looks smaller which means he’s probably not lifting weights or isn’t lifting as much weight as he used too. His back may be hurting more than he’s leading on. Shoulders aren’t as broad and tone isn’t there. May be nothing but something I noticed.

Isn't the classic version of this hookworm in the South? My understanding is that more or less getting rid of that gave the South a huge economic boost. And today, places where the kids get malaria every year surely are having their average IQs depressed. I doubt this explains much variation within rich societies, but I bet it explains a lot of the variation between rich and poor societies, even though the causality can go both directions.

Excelente post! Já tive oportunidade de estudar o GIIRS e IRIS, são muito bem desenvolvidas. Infelizmente de maneira geral são poucas as empresas no Brasil com maturidade suficiente para serem avaliadas por estas ferramentas, seja em termos ambientais, trabalhistas, de governança ou cadeia logÃstica.
